Green bean casserole

alternative to classsic holiday traditional side dish


1/2 lb. of bacon
1 cup of mushrooms
1-2 cups of rice milk
1-2 lbs. of green beans
1 small onion
salt and pepper to taste


Chop up bacon and fully cook it in medium to large skillet. Add onion thinly sliced and saute. Remove from skillet. Slice mushrooms and add to skillet, cook until golden brown. Slowly add rice milk to skillet stirring when adding, making sure to bit up little bits of flavor on bottom. Add everything back in cookin for 15-30 min. or until greenbeens are starting to get tender. You may put the whole thing in the over to crisp. You masy also add some type of flour to thicken if needed.
