Pumpkin Mousse

Like pumpkin pie without the crust.


1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp unflavoured powdered gelatin
2/3 cup nonfat milk powder
1/2 cup (heeping) canned cooked pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1/8 tsp cloves
6 ice cubes
1 tbsp sugar or succanat (optional)


Pour water into a small pan and sprinkle gelatin over top. Let stand for 5 minutes. Then place over medium heat and let cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly until dissolved.
Pour this into a blender and add all ingredients except for the ice cubes.
Blend until smooth then add one ice cube at a time. Blend well each time.
Divide the mouse into small bowls. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours before serving.

I serve it with whip cream and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
I do not add any sugar, the spices are enough to make it is very tasty.
