Asian style jerky
Pork Loin Roast 1lb
Sugar (to taste...at least 6 heaping tablespoons)
Boil the pork till done (1.5 hour). Discard the water, shred the pork w/2 forks. Heat up wok, add sugar. When sugar begins to carmelize, add the shredded pork. Once in wok, turn heat to med/low. Continue shredding the pork while cooking. Make sure you mix the pork and sugar evenly. Add salt. Continue cooking on low for next 30+ minutes to dehydrate the pork shreds. Once dish is done, the shreds should be very flaky/almost cotton like. This is usually eaten as snack or with rice.
