Quinoa with Onions
This is a great side dish if you like onions. I'll even eat this as a meal.
1 c Quinoa
2-1/4 c water
pinch sea salt
1/2 T Unemboshi paste (optional)
Chop the onion into 1/2 inch pieces and place in a sauce pan with the water and unemboshi paste. Start heating the water while you prepare the grains. Place the quinoa in a dry skillet and roast on medium heat until nutty smelling. Add the grains to the now boiling water, cover, and simmer 20 minutes.
